The Etruscan Necropolis of Monterozzi Tour

The Etruscan necropolis of Monterozzi declared a UNESCO heritage site in 2004, represents an exceptional archaeological site of great interest linked to the funerary aspect of the Etruscan people.
Its numerous underground tombs that can be visited extend over a vast area, recount the many aspects of the daily and religious life of this population, still unknown to some extent, and through almost perfectly preserved interior paintings. Take a walk to the city of the dead.

What to expect

We will discover together how the Etruscans wrote, what their main divinities were, the clothes they wore and their traditions through these splendid frescoes in a journey that will take us back in time to the foundation of this city jewel which is still Tarquinia today.

Difficulty

The tour is recommended for adults, families with children. It is not recommended for people with disabilities the elderly with walking difficulties due to access to underground tombs through the aid of stairs.

Appointment 15 minutes before the scheduled time at the entrance in via di Ripagretta snc, Tarquinia (VT).
