Tarquinia National Museum Tour

Tarquinia is a charming town situated on hills and with a splendid view of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Here you will find Palazzo Vitelleschi an important archaeological museum, where there is a collection dedicated exclusively to the Etruscan civilization, composed of artefacts found in the nearest necropolis of Monterozzi to the east of the city.

What to expect

Thanks to this collection, you can go back in time to discover the history and artistic expressions of this population still unknown, admire the anthropomorphic sarcophagi accompanied by particular inscriptions that you will be very similar in character to our alphabet and also the numerous frescoes detached for precautionary purposes from the nearby Necropolis of Monterozzi. It only remains for us to undertake this journey backwards in history together.
